Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sated (the "App"), a personal wellness companion for people using GLP-1 medications. The App is provided by an independent developer based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Sated is — and isn't

Sated is a wellness tracking tool, not a medical device and not a provider of medical advice. Content in the App, including AI-generated meal plans, insights, and reports, is for general informational purposes only. It does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before changing your medication, diet, or exercise — and never disregard professional advice because of something in the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sated. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You may sign in with a Google account or with an email address and password. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile tab.

4. Subscriptions, free trial & billing

Sated offers an optional Premium subscription on a monthly or annual basis. Core tracking features remain free.
How you are billed depends on where you subscribe. If you subscribe inside the Android app, the subscription is sold and billed through Google Play, subject to Google's terms, and payment is charged to your Play account. If you subscribe on the website, payment is processed by Stripe on our behalf and charged to the card you provide. We never see or store your full card details.
Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Cancel a Google Play subscription in your Play account settings; cancel a subscription bought on the website from the billing portal linked in the App under Me → Settings → Premium. Whichever way you bought it, you can cancel at any time.
Prices may vary by country and may change; we will give notice of changes as required. Existing Google Play subscribers are handled per Google's price-change rules, and we will contact website subscribers directly before any change takes effect.

5. Refunds

If you subscribed through Google Play, refunds are handled under Google's policies and refund requests should be directed to Google. If you subscribed on the website, contact us at the address in section 14 and we will handle the request directly. Nothing here affects your statutory rights, including any right to cancel a distance contract under UK and EU consumer law.

6. AI-generated content

Sated uses AI to generate meal ideas, recipes, insights, and summaries based on the information you provide. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed with common sense and, where relevant, your healthcare provider. Nutritional estimates are approximate.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, accessing other users' data, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its content (excluding your own data) are owned by us and protected by applicable law. Your personal data and entries remain yours.

9. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any health outcomes, decisions made in reliance on the App, or indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.

11. Termination

You may stop using and delete the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or where necessary to protect the service or other users.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
